For Micheal, "Beauty Concepts" all started when he was an eight-year-old boy at Elementary School in Picher, Oklahoma.  An infected hair follicle developed on the crown of Micheal's head causing his childhood to be filled with much illness and limiting his activities with other kids.  The sore became very severe and plagued him for two years.  He would bleed a lot and there was some pain and discomfort.  Fortunately, his family had faith in God and Micheal recovered miraculously.  But his troubles were not over.  Soon after he had recovered he had to learn to cope with a scar the size of a half dollar, the sore had left upon the crown of his scalp.  Other kids called him names and would insult him.  He began to turn inward and become an introvert living inside his pain.  But his faith in Christ also grew at this time and he grew out of his intimidations and fears. 

Micheal had always concealed his scar with a hat and would not part from it, except when he was in school classrooms, and then he would sit in the back of the class to avoid ridicule.  As his faith deepened so did his social skills, reading skills and 'grooming' skills.  He learned to conceal his scar with grooming techniques as a pre-teen.  Dressing and styling his hair became a natural thing to do.

Today years have passed and Micheal is helping other people see their own beauty and helping them live through their scars.  Micheal's philosophy is that, "Our scars and shortcomings do not disqualify us from destiny.  However they are used by God's grace to become our very qualification for greater possibliities."  The deeper our pain, the deeper can be our love for others.  The greater our pain, the greater our victories can be.  Micheal "Celebrates People" everyday and helps them Celebrate themselves!  He says he learned from his Spiritual Master Jesus Christ.  Micheal has tatooed upon his right shoulder the words, "It's All About Jesus" so he never forgets what life is all about.

Micheal has been married to Julie his wife for thirteen years.  They are both 33 years of age.  Julie is also an incredible, beautiful hairdresser.  Her eyes are the first thing you have seen upon entering this web site.  They both have great fun together.  They have two joyful children.  Jordyn, their daughter, is eleven and Jireh, their son, is seven.  They live in Parsons Kansas, where they also are the founders and church coordinators of The Vineyard Christian Fellowship.  The church is an association of the Vineyard Association of Churches USA.  You can ask for Vineyard Music in any Christian Bookstore across the USA.  The Parsons Vineyard attracts many people who are unchurched and are finding joy and hope in these difficult and uncertain days in America.

Micheal graduated from the Pittsburg School of Beauty in Pittsburg Kansas.  He acknowledges that without the help of his wife, Julie, and many of his friends he would not have been able to complete his 1500 hours of cosmetology education.
